1st Anniversary!

Feb 20 was part of “Golden February”. It was the one year marriage anniversary for me and C☆！

Wow, one year already!? It’s got to be fun if one year went by that fast!

February is “golden” because it has Valentines Day, our anniversary, and my birthday in back to back to back weekends.

Anyways, C☆and I decided to celebrate by going to a full teppan-yaki course in Roppongi.

２月２０日は僕とC☆の第一回目の結婚記念日でした！”GOLDEN FEBRUARY”の中のビッグイベントでした！

２月にはなんとバレンタイン、結婚記念日と僕の誕生日が毎週末あり、ノンストップのパーティーです。

この日は久しぶりにおいしい鉄板焼を食べにいきました。

The course was so good I can’t begin to explain…

本当に久しぶりの鉄板焼きでうますぎ…

Here is fresh octopus sashimi with season greens topped with small fish eggs…

生たこの刺身…

Here is a special fried uni (sea urchin) with specially flavored rice on seaweed. Just behind it is sweet anago (eel) sushi…

ウニと穴子。ウニがまた最高で！！

The uni is plump, fresh, and sweet…so good…

見てください！このうにちゃん！マジ今でも食べたくなっちゃう！

This is a small gelatin like soup with snow crab…

そしてこの蟹スープ。茶碗蒸しみたいだった。上がゼラチンかなんかで出汁がすごく効いてた。

Once again, season greens with renkon and seasoned squid.

これはイカとれんこんの一品。

No luxury dinner would be complete without awabi (abalone) steak!

そして誰でもテンションがあがりそうなアワビステーキ！ブツ切りで幸せ１１０％！

And the main event! Akita class beef (just like or better than Kobe beef)…it just melts in your mouth! But you’ll probably die if you eat this every day…

もしろんメインは秋田牛の鉄板焼き。口の中でとろけちゃう！毎日食ったら死ぬね。

The meal ends with a delicious miso soup and flavored rice. This is not your average take out miso soup at the local sushi store…

しめはおいしいご飯とみそ汁。

And then the celebration! Fireworks and cake!

そしてもちろん記念日なのでちょっとしたパフォーマンス！

おめでとう！！

Ahh, good times ….good times indeed. I am a lucky guy.

いや〜幸せ者ですな〜（笑）本当に今年はいろいろとありがとうございました。

Thanks for an unbelievable first year. It was tough at times and we still got lots of stuff to take care of but if the first year is any indication of the future, I think we are in good shape.
